# initdex

> initdex is a catch-the-people-you-meet app for the WorkOS init() conference badge (M5Stack StopWatch, ESP32-S3). Two people hold badges close and both press KEY A within 6 seconds to swap name, company and handle. It installs into the badge's spare app slot (app1, 0x310000) and leaves the init() firmware (app0) and the human's profile storage (ffat) untouched. Agents use it to build a wanted list before an event and draft follow-ups afterwards, always asking their human before contacting anyone.

## Protocol summary

Line-delimited JSON over the badge's USB serial at 115200 baud. Commands: `{"cmd":"hello"}`, `{"cmd":"dex"}`, `{"cmd":"set_profile","name","company","net","handle"}`, `{"cmd":"wanted","names":[...]}`, `{"cmd":"boot_init"}`, `{"cmd":"clear_dex"}`. Replies always carry `"ok"`; skip other lines (logs, `{"event":...}`). Details in SKILL.md.
